NHC is a safe, supportive environment within the community for individuals who have experienced mental/emotional challenges.
NHC provides two balanced meals to members Monday-Friday.
NHC also offers daily activities identified by members as valuable and helpful to improve their quality of life by increasing socialization and decreasing isolation in a warm, safe meeting place.
Daily check-ins- Talking with members to see how they are doing, and what we can do to help them.
Member Meetings- Encouraging leadership and empowerment, where members can have a say in center operations, increase confidence, share ideas, and help to plan events and activities.
Meetings are held every Thursday at 1:15 pm.
Self-Care Meetings every Friday at 1:15 pm.

Gratitude Journals- Biweekly journaling sessions, reflecting on what you're grateful for or positive occurrences in your life.
Life Skills Classes- Biweekly sessions teaching different skill sets in daily life. From learning advocation skills, and other self-care tactics, to learning how to set boundaries.
Financial Budgeting Classes- Learn how to manage your money with grocery shopping, paying bills, and fulfilling your needs.
Sewing Classes - Learning basic sewing skills and techniques.
NHC also offers part-time employment to members. Members experience improvement in overall quality of life by being employed and earning an income. Staff and volunteers will provide members with outreach and referral information over the grant period as needed by members.
