Services Offered at Northern Hope Center
- Daily Meals
- Breakfast is served from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Monday through Friday.
- Lunch is served from 12:00 PM to 2:45 PM, Monday through Friday.
- Daily Check-Ins
- Personalized conversations with staff to discuss members' well-being and identify support needs.
- Case Management Services
- Assistance with accessing resources such as housing, employment, healthcare, and financial aid.
- Support with paperwork, applications, and referrals to community services.
- Peer Support Groups
- Facilitation of group sessions where members share experiences, challenges, and coping strategies with peers.
- Crisis Intervention and Support
- Immediate assistance for members experiencing mental health crises, including emotional support and referrals.
- Life Skills Training
- Workshops on budgeting, cooking, time management, personal hygiene, and other essential daily living skills.
- Creative Arts and Music Therapy
- Opportunities for self-expression through art, music, and writing to support emotional well-being.
- Recreational Activities
- Games, exercise classes, gardening, or outings to promote physical health and social engagement.
- Health and Wellness Education
- Classes on nutrition, mindfulness, stress management, and smoking cessation.
- Resource Navigation
- Help connecting to community services, such as public benefits, housing programs, or job training.
- Technology Access and Support
- Access to computers, internet, and assistance with technology for job applications, telehealth appointments, or staying connected.
- Advocacy and Rights Education
- Information about legal rights, disability benefits, and how to advocate for oneself in healthcare or legal settings.
- Education and Employment Support
- Assistance with resume building, interview skills, GED preparation, or continuing education enrollment.
- Family Support Services
- Guidance and resources for family members of individuals with mental health challenges to foster understanding and support.
- Wellness Activities
- Yoga, meditation, and relaxation techniques to support mental and physical health.
- Member Meetings
- Bi-weekly meetings every other Wednesday at 1:00 PM.
- Members share ideas, provide feedback, and help plan events and activities.
- Sewing Classes
- Learn basic sewing skills and techniques in a creative and relaxing environment.
- Supportive Community Environment
- A safe, welcoming space for members to connect, find resources, and feel valued.
Transportation Services: Appointments must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance to ensure availability. Transportation to and from the center can be requested at any time; however, please be mindful that lunch is served around 12:00 PM, and transportation requests may be subject to prior appointments.
